Airport Contraband | PC Demo Review
I have recently had the opportunity to play the demo for Airport Contraband by DRAGO Entertainment. The studio is also behind Gas Station Simulator, Food Truck Simulator, & Winter Survival. If you’re a fan of games like Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, Airport Contraband is another title to get excited for.

Set around a roguelite framework, you will work as an airport officer charged with screening incoming and outgoing passengers travelling through an isolated desert airport. Juggling upgrades to make your officer’s job easier with requests from your nefarious cartel contacts, the pressure will be on to balance your on-and-off the books responsibilities. Building on that roguelite framework, failure in your job as the sole officer for the airport or failure to meet cartel obligations will cost you your job (or worse yet) your life. While your officer may not make it to “the end”, progression such as airport upgrades, officer upgrades, or anything you spend the in-game currency of “Dream Points” will persist.
You will be faced with many choices, whether that is requests from the local cartel or selecting mechanic altering events. These include balancing the fallout of stories of local newspapers or embargos. To keep your officer in their role, you will have to balance doing your job (searching passengers) and fulfilling the needs of the ever-evolving mechanics in your playthrough.
As of my playthrough of the early access version of Airport Contraband, it runs well on a moderate system with no noticeable bugs or glitches. I expect that the optimization I saw already will stick through the full release.
To hear me talk more about Airport Contraband, be sure to listen to June 25th, 2026 episode of The Gaming Outsider Podcast around the 1:04:35 time stamp.
