Non-Linear Ghost Story Remaining Grace Announced for PC and Mac

Ambedo studios and Creative Director Quintin Pan announced their debut title, Remaining Grace. Pan previously served as the Lead Designer of Dreamfall Chapters. This intimate, non-linear ghost story explores chosen family and human connections. Furthermore, the game is heading to PC and Mac via Steam. Attendees at PAX West 2026 will also experience a hands-on demo at the PAX Rising booth.

Players explore the untold story of Grace Tao. She passed away three years prior. You guide Grace’s spirit as she shifts bodies through physical contact across three distinct time periods. You weave together the interconnected lives of her family and friends. All of this unfolds within Turtle Island. This location represents an alternate-history North America. Christopher Columbus failed his westward mission in this timeline. Consequently, a multicultural setting emerged. Indigenous and diaspora communities live under entirely different cultural norms here.

What We Can Expect

A Unique Ghostly Mechanic: Guide Grace’s spirit as she shifts bodies through physical contact, exploring parks, tea houses, and childhood memories across three time periods.

My Thoughts

Remaining Grace looks like a game that my wife will notice me playing and get teary-eyed within minutes. Then she will ask me what kind of video game this is. Featuring a gorgeous, expressive pencil sketch aesthetic, I cannot wait to get my hands on this one. I want to dive into the alternate history while also piecing together the puzzle of Grace’s death. I imagine I will be hooked until the credits roll.
